अंतरराष्ट्रीय शिमला ग्रीष्मोत्सव 2026 के तहत स्वास्थ्य एवं परिवार कल्याण विभाग, जिला शिमला तथा अंतरराष्ट्रीय ग्रीष्मोत्सव शिमला आयोजन समिति द्वारा “स्वस्थ शिशु प्रतियोगिता – मेरा बच्चा, मेरा अभिमान” का आयोजन किया जा रहा है। इस प्रतियोगिता का उद्देश्य बच्चों के समग्र स्वास्थ्य, पोषण, शारीरिक विकास तथा स्वच्छता के प्रति अभिभावकों को जागरूक करना है।
उपायुक्त शिमला एवं अध्यक्ष अंतरराष्ट्रीय शिमला ग्रीष्मोत्सव आयोजन समिति अनुपम कश्यप ने जानकारी देते हुए बताया कि यह प्रतियोगिता 10 जून 2026 को रानी झांसी पार्क, रिज शिमला में आयोजित की जाएगी। प्रतियोगिता का समय प्रातः 10:00 बजे से दोपहर 2:00 बजे तक रहेगा। प्रतियोगिता में तीन आयु वर्ग के बच्चे भाग ले सकते हैं, जिनमें 0 से 12 माह, 13 से 36 माह और 37 से 60 माह के बच्चे शामिल रहेंगे।
विभिन्न मानदंडों के आधार पर होगा बच्चों का मूल्यांकन
उन्होंने बताया कि प्रतियोगिता के अंतर्गत बच्चों का मूल्यांकन विभिन्न मानदंडों के आधार पर किया जाएगा जिनमें मजबूत एवं अच्छी तरह से पोषित बच्चे (पोषण), सही गति से बढ़ता विकास (शारीरिक माप), तेज दिमाग एवं शुरुआती कदम (विकास के पड़ाव), स्वस्थ शरीर एवं सुरक्षित मुस्कान (शारीरिक जांच) और साफ-सुथरे एवं आत्मविश्वासी बच्चे (स्वच्छता) जैसे मापदंड शामिल रहेंगे। प्रतियोगिता के दौरान शिशुओं का चिकित्सकीय परीक्षण भी किया जाएगा, जिसके लिए अभिभावकों को बच्चे का जन्म प्रमाण पत्र तथा टीकाकरण कार्ड की फोटोकॉपी साथ लाना अनिवार्य होगा।
विजेताओं को मिलेंगे आकर्षक इनाम
उपायुक्त ने बताया कि प्रतियोगिता में विजेताओं के लिए आकर्षक पुरस्कार निर्धारित किए गए हैं जिनमें प्रथम पुरस्कार 25,000 रुपए, द्वितीय पुरस्कार 20,000 रुपए और तृतीय पुरस्कार 15,000 रुपए शामिल हैं। प्रतियोगिता के लिए पंजीकरण शुल्क 10 रुपए निर्धारित किया गया है। इच्छुक अभिभावक पोस्टर पर उपलब्ध QR कोड के माध्यम से अपना पंजीकरण करवा सकते हैं।
उन्होंने सभी अभिभावकों से अपने बच्चों को इस प्रतियोगिता में भाग दिलाने तथा स्वस्थ एवं सशक्त बाल विकास के संदेश को जन-जन तक पहुँचाने की अपील की है।

Under the International Shimla Summer Festival 2026, the Department of Health & Family Welfare, District Shimla, in collaboration with the International Shimla Summer Festival Organising Committee, will organise a “Healthy Baby Competition – My Child, My Pride.” The competition aims to create awareness among parents regarding children’s overall health, nutrition, physical development, and hygiene.
Deputy Commissioner Shimla and Chairman of the International Shimla Summer Festival Organising Committee Anupam Kashyap informed that the competition will be held on 10th June 2026 at Rani Jhansi Park, The Ridge, Shimla. The event will be conducted from 10:00 AM to 2:00 PM. Children belonging to three age categories will be eligible to participate: 0–12 months, 13–36 months, and 37–60 months.
Children to be Evaluated on Various Parameters
The Deputy Commissioner said that participating children will be assessed on various parameters, including nutrition (well-nourished and healthy children), physical growth measurements, developmental milestones, cognitive development, overall physical health, and hygiene standards. Medical examinations of the participating children will also be conducted during the competition. Parents are required to bring a photocopy of the child’s Birth Certificate and Immunization/Vaccination Card for verification.
Attractive Prizes for Winners
The Deputy Commissioner further informed that attractive cash prizes have been earmarked for the winners. The first prize will be Rs 25,000, the second prize Rs 20,000, and the third prize Rs 15,000. The registration fee for participation has been fixed at Rs 10. Interested parents can register through the online registration form by scanning the QR code provided on the official poster.
He appealed to all parents to encourage their children to participate in the competition and help spread the message of healthy and holistic child development across society.
